Apartments by the sea Podgora, Makarska - 6789

Super nice apartment in a great location. The landlord is extremely helpful.

We spent a family vacation in this apartment on August 17-28, 2020. We had a great vacation thanks to the many advantages that I describe below. Podgora is a medium-sized tourist town, smaller than Makarska, but with everything necessary for relaxation: a beautiful beach (pebbles), a long and very nice seaside promenade with numerous restaurants, bars and shops, a marina where you can rent water equipment and a great location for both land trips (Makarska, Split, Dubrovnik) and sea trips (the island of Brac, Hvar, Korcula). The beach is long and it was always quite loose during our stay, but that was due to fewer tourists during Covid. The apartment is located perfectly, right next to the beach and promenade, and at the same time not in the first line, so the noise is not bothersome. Whenever you feel like it, you can literally go out for a few minutes, swim and come back in a moment. Also, when you run out of anything to prepare a meal at home, the store is right next to the house. The layout and standard of the apartment suited us very well. Three bedrooms, two of them with balconies overlooking the sea, and a large living room combined with a spacious kitchen and dining room, gives a sense of space. The living room also has an exit to a balcony overlooking the sea. The facility has two bathrooms, one larger, nice with a bathtub, newly renovated, and the other smaller with a shower. The latter is a bit older, but clean and tidy. Finally, a few words about the wonderful host. The owner of the apartment does not live in it, but he cares about the guests' needs, is available at his request and, what's more, he is committed to making the stay more attractive. He took us with his boat to beautiful wild beaches accessible only from the water, and accompanied us as a guide to the observation deck in the mountains (Sky Walk). In addition, he is very kind, sociable, speaks English well and has very interesting stories to tell for those interested, as he has been sailing transport ships all over the world throughout his professional life and was also their captain. To sum up, it was a very enjoyable stay, great place and apartment, friendly host and we will definitely be back there again.
